I moved into Holland Home yesterday, and my office is ginormous.  It's a little disheveled right now to say the least, but they're going to repaint and recarpet and put the mirror back into the hole in the bathroom (yeah, I have a private bathroom b/c my office is a converted resident's room).  And I think someday I'll sort through all the crap people have been storing in here to figure out what stays and what goes.  Other than that, I think I might like it here.  And I have a meeting at 10 to find out how to search for criminal records so that I know if I'm allowed to have a person live here or if they're a former felon.  Yeah, they have to do that now...so don't go to jail or you might not have a retirement community to live in when you're older.

As requested, a picture of my hubby-to-be and I.  Oh engagement photos...so ridiculous and yet so fun.  Dan was much more adamant that we needed to take these, and he also stood firmly on his ground that we should be announced in the newspapers, but I'm not sure anyone has done that for the papers around here yet.  I better get on that sometime before we're married.

So...I don't post very often and Drew just told me I need to.  I'm pretty much preoccupied with planning a wedding and going to work.  Speaking of which, I'm switching jobs in about a month.  I currently work as the Marketing Coordinator in the corporate office of Rest Haven Christian Services.  But now, I was asked to take over the position of Admissions Coordinator/Marketing Coordinator at the Holland Home, which is one of the facilities with which I currently work.  Most of you probably know what Holland Home is...anyway, I never really saw myself doing this, but it'll be a new challenge.  And I get my own office, so that's awesome.  And I'll be able to walk to work until I move to IN; even then my drive will be 20 minutes shorter.

Leah got married last weekend and was a Gorgeous bride.  It makes me a little sheepish to think that I have to try to look as stunning, but I guess every bride can be beautiful if she's in love.  Or at least that's what brides who aren't models tell themselves.

Any good ideas for a knock-out song I should use when I walk down the aisle?  I'm currently thinking I like the song from Masterpiece Theater, but my mom says they use that in the Olympics.  I'm not really an athlete, so that might not be appropriate.  ???

So this is the first holiday I have to share with Dan's family.  Thankfully though, and appropriately since it's Thanksgiving, I got to spend yesterday here.  This afternoon we leave for Iowa for a quick weekend trip that will include a celebration of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and our marriage (a shower of sorts).  Yea for getting our fondue maker!

I'm bored at work...which is actually a nice change of pace from being bored and not at work.  I started here at Rest Haven's corporate office a month ago now; wow that time moved quickly.  And, as of 3 days ago, I have 9 months until my wedding.  Oh, and I bought my first two pieces of Pampered Chef kitchen accessories, a stoneware pan and a chopper.  Pretty awesome.
